BOILERMAKERS APPRENTICES
Resources for Enrolled Apprentices
Apprentices begin working at 65% of the Journeyman’s Wage Rate. They remain at that 65% for a period of one (1) year from the date they are indentured (as long as they meet the 6 month requirement).
Thereafter, Apprentices are eligible for a 5% increase every six (6) months from the effective date of his/her last raise. So, failure to comply with this policy at any time will affect the date of all future increases and can result in your suspension/termination from our Program.
In order to receive an increase to the next wage bracket, Apprentices MUST meet all listed criteria with no exceptions.
Any Apprentice who fails to follow the policy or fails to submit Work Reports, OJT Modules and complete online Lessons on a monthly basis will be considered delinquent and subject to disciplinary action.

The NE Area Apprenticeship supplies a hard copy of the BOILERMAKERS NORTHEAST AREA APPRENTICE COMMITTEE STATEMENT OF RULES, REGULATIONS AND POLICIES FOR APPRENTICES to each apprentice at the time of indenturement.
Any revisions supersede all previous versions.

Apprentices are required to submit their On-the-Job Training Work Hours (OJT Hours) online through ApprentiScope.com at the end of each month or upon completion of a job – whichever comes first.
- If a job is completed in less than one month, you must submit the hours worked for that portion of the month.
- Hours must be reported for every job, regardless of its length.
- If you are out of work for an entire calendar month, you MUST report so by entering 1 in the “Out of Work” category in ApprentiScope.com.
At a minimum, every apprentice must have one submission in ApprentiScope.com for each calendar month throughout the entire apprenticeship.
All submitted hours are subject to review and approval by your Local/Zone Instructor. Falsifying work hours is grounds for immediate termination from the Apprenticeship Program.
Hours must be submitted within 30 days following the end of the month being reported. Failure to submit hours on time will delay pay advancements and may result in suspension or termination from the Apprenticeship Program.
Begin reporting work hours (or Out-of-Work months) immediately upon starting your apprenticeship, as reporting is required starting with the first month of your apprenticeship.
If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please contact the Northeast Area Administrator at 860-569-8368.
As a requirement of the Boilermakers Northeast Area Apprenticeship Program, prior to graduation, apprentices must complete 18 On-the-Job Training manuals (OJTs).
